Background

In the wake of the 26th UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) and China’s commitment to ‘peak its emissions by 2030, and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060’ (referred to as the ‘dual carbon’ target), the second Re:Think conference will be held on December 13th, 2021. The conference focuses on how we can unleash the innovative capacity of high-tech zones to decarbonize our societies. ‘Re:Think 2021 Innovative Pathways Towards Net-Zero Cities’ conference aims to convene a range of experts, such as policymakers from high-tech zones, international organizations, academics, and entrepreneurs to exchange innovative ideas and perspectives on building the zero-carbon cities of the future. Its aim will be to examine how innovations in finance, technology, and industry can help accelerate the low-carbon transition and contribute to national decarbonization targets.
